DR Congo: Dire Humanitarian Situation in North Kivu

The humanitarian situation in North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), has reached dire extents according to latest humanitarian reports. In the past month, over 48,000 people have been displaced due to armed clashes in Masisi territory.
Cases of gender-based violence have increased in Rutshuru territory. Cash transfers have assisted over 116,000 vulnerable individuals in Lubero territory, while over 143,000 affected people have received emergency food aid in Beni and Nyiragongo territories, as well as in Goma.
The report highlights the challenges faced in responding to the urgent needs of displaced people due to ongoing insecurity and limited humanitarian access.
