The Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), in partnership with various stakeholders, is set to organize the highly anticipated second Citizens’ Forum on Democracy and Digital Governance in Africa. The event aims to explore the immense potential of digital technology in advancing democracy across the continent. To participate, interested individuals are encouraged to register online through the official forum website. The registration link can be accessed [here]. Early registration is advised, as spaces are limited.

The second Citizens’ Forum on Democracy and Digital Governance will be held as both a physical and hybrid event, ensuring broad participation and inclusivity. The forum will bring together experts, policymakers, civil society organizations, activists, and concerned citizens from across Africa and beyond. The event will serve as a platform to highlight innovative and effective ways for citizens to engage in democratic processes and contribute to shaping digital governance. Recognizing the transformative impact of digital technologies on civic engagement, ECOSOCC, along with its partners, seeks to harness this potential to foster robust citizen engagement within the continental discourse on issues of democracy and digital governance.

Participants are promised engaging panel discussions, keynote speeches, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with like-minded individuals who share a common vision for a more democratic and digitally empowered Africa. Attendees will gain valuable insights into best practices, successful case studies, and the latest trends in leveraging digital technology for citizen engagement and governance.
