Pan-African Parliament Welcomes New Members to the Sixth Parliament

30 new members have been sworn into the Sixth Parliament of the Pan-African Parliament during the opening ceremony of its Permanent Committees Sitting on February 24, 2025, at its headquarters in Midrand, South Africa. Each African Union member state is entitled to a five-member delegation, ensuring diverse political, regional, and gender representation. In the latest induction, Botswana, Cameroon, Chad, Mozambique, Nigeria, Liberia, South Africa, and Senegal have each contributed new delegates from diverse political parties with the hope that they bring diverse perspectives to the legislative body. The new cohort comprises 18 male and 9 female parliamentarians. The continental legislators are listed below as follows:
