President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar defended his achievements during his mandate and addressed controversies surrounding his French nationality. He listed the infrastructure projects completed under his leadership but acknowledged that more needs to be done, particularly in terms of road rehabilitation and addressing poverty.

Regarding his French nationality, Rajoelina explained that he obtained it for the sake of his children’s education. He emphasized his patriotism and love for Madagascar, stating that he is willing to die for his country. His statement received applause from the audience at the Iavoloha State Palace.
