Registration Now Open: Citizen Forum on Democracy and Digital Governance
The Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) is has published a call for participation to its upcoming 2nd Citizens’ Forum on Democracy and Digital Governance in Africa, set to take place in Kenya from the 10th to the 11th of July 2023. The forum is a flagship event organized by ECOSOCC, focusing on the pivotal role of digital technologies in shaping democratic practices across Africa.
The 2nd Citizens’ Forum on Democracy and Digital Governance is expected to serve as a platform for engaging discussions, exchange of ideas, and sharing best practices among policymakers, civil society representatives, academia, and technology experts. It will be held both in-person and virtually, providing participants with flexibility and accessibility. Attendees can register for the event through the link [HERE]. Established in July 2004, ECOSOCC serves as an Advisory Organ composed of diverse social and professional groups from AU Member States. The council’s mandate is to contribute, through advice, to the effective implementation of the African Union’s objectives, principles, and policies by evaluating and translating them into concrete programs.
