Professor PLO Lumumba’s Facebook hijacked, demands Zuckerberg’s urgent intervention

The PLO Lumumba Foundation issued a statement on Monday, announcing the hacking of its founder PLO Lumumba’s Facebook Page. In a letter to Facebook, the Kenyan scholar claims his popular social media account was hacked between Friday and Sunday last week, whereas suspicious activity started that Tuesday.
The renowned Kenyan scholar posted about the incident via his official Twitter account, expressing his disappointment with Facebook for bad customer service, and failure to amend the situation.
“Zuckerberg, urgently intervene and undo the hacking and hijacking of my Facebook page and business account. I am disappointed by the unresponsive META (Facebook) team over the last 3 days that continues to deprive my 945k followers of our daily interaction on matters Pan African,” tweeted Prof. PLO Lumumba. The tweet was attached to a letter addressed to Facebook.

Another statement from the PLO Lumumba Foundation dissociated the public figure from the content posted after the said incident and further warned users not to interact with the content but instead report the account.
“While we wait for META (Facebook) to restore Prof.PLO Lumumba’s page, all communication will be shared via the PLO Lumumba Foundation Page. Prof.PLO Lumumba is not responsible for any of the content published on the LPO Lumumba Facebook account. Kindly report the page and avoid clicking any links on PLO Lumumba Facebook Page,” read the statement.
In another tweet, Prof PLO repeated “To my Facebook followers, all communication will be shared via the PLO Foundation Facebook Page. The link https://facebook.com/PLOLumumbaFoundation… Kindly report the PLO Lumumba Facebook Page and avoid clicking on any links”.
Prof. PLO Lumumba whose full name is Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba is an Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanzania and a Law Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Nairobi, and the Director of The Kenya School of Law. He is one of the Trustees and the Executive Director of the African Institute of Leaders and Leadership, Nairobi, Kenya.
