Benin’s 9th Legislature: 25 Representatives Announced Across Regional and National Institutions

Following the convening of Benin’s 9th Legislature on Monday, 25 representatives from the 9th Legislature of the National Assembly in Benin who will hold positions in various regional and national institutions have been announced. The Assembly has a total of 109 deputies, with 53 from the Union Progressiste le Renouveau (UPR) party, 28 from the Bloc Républicain (BR), and 28 from the opposition party Les Démocrates (LD).

The representatives are distributed across different institutions, including the ECOWAS Parliament, the Pan-African Parliament, the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) Parliament, the High Court of Justice, the Benin Human Rights Commission (CBDH), and the Data Protection Authority (APDP). The representatives belong to different parties, with the UPR having the highest number of representatives in these institutions. The list is as follows:
