Mauritanian Parliament Approves the Government’s Program by 82%
This weekend, the Mauritanian Parliament gave a vote of confidence to the government by approving its program presented by the Prime Minister, it is reported. Out of 176 registered deputies, 169 participated in the voting process. A significant 82 percent majority, representing 140 deputies, voted “yes” in favor of the program, while 25 voted “no” and four deputies abstained from recommending. The President of the National Assembly, Mohamed Ould Bambam Mekt, announced the results, emphasizing the strong support from parliamentarians.
