Pan-African Parliament Presidents in Niger for Diplomatic Visit

Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira, President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), accompanied by the 3rd PAP Vice President Hon. Lúcia Maria Mendes Gonçalves dos Passos arrived in Niamey, Niger,on Sunday for a diplomatic visit. It is reported that the visit aims to foster cooperation and strengthen ties between the PAP and the Republic of Niger. Today, the President Charumbira and his delegation were warmly welcomed by H.E. Mohammed Bazoum, the esteemed President of Niger, demonstrating goodwill between the PAP Parliament leadership and the Head of State.

Yesterday evening, President Bazoum hosted an official dinner in honor of Hon. Senator Chief Charumbira, and his delegation, attended by members of the Nigerien delegation to the Pan-African Parliament. This event further emphasized the shared commitment to advancing the African agenda.

During his stay, the PAP President will engage in a productive working meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Senator Seyni Oumarou, aiming to enhance parliamentary cooperation within the Pan-African framework.
