His Imperial Highness Prince Estifanos Matewos (Ahmaric: እስታፋኖስ ማተዎስ; born 1995) is an Ethiopian royal and a descendant of the Ethiopian Imperial Family. Born in Shewa, Ethiopia, he is a descendant of the Menelik II dynasty, tracing his lineage back to several historical figures such as King Solomon and Queen Sheba, and the great Prophet Muhammad .
Prince Estifanos carries with him a rich heritage and a deep rooted sense of responsibility towards Ethiopia and Africa as a whole. His Royal Highness honed his business acumen at an early age, establishing his first manufacturing company by age 16 and later venturing in the world of global business and finance. With his professional background in financial economics, he founded the African Royal Group of Companies, a multimillion dollar business conglomerate built on export-import and manufacturing. The company has over the years expanded into aviation, energy, fintech, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, security, and telecommunications.
In addition to his membership on several boards, Prince Estifanos serves as the President of the United Africa Royal Assembly, and Pan-African Parliament ambassador for governance and traditional affairs. Through these esteemed roles, he is advocating for the unity and advancement of African nations, working closely with royals and traditional leaders, heads of institutions, states, governments, and other influential figures to promote peace, stability, and cooperation across the continent. His diplomatic and philanthropic interventions for the African cause have earned him global prominence and recognition by leaders in both business and public affairs on the continent and beyond. In 2024, Prince Estifanos was named among The Most Influential People of African Descent in politics and governance. He was also appointed honorary citizen of Georgia, USA, in the same year.
