WATCH: AfCFTA boss Wamkele Mene adresses the Pan-African Parliament for the first time

On March 16th, 2023, the Secretary General of the AfCFTA — African Continental Free Trade Area H.E. Wamkele Mene, addressed the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Permanent Committees for the first time in history. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was established in 2018 as one of the 13 flagship projects of Agenda 2063:The Africa We Want, of the African Union.
The presentation was heard by members of the PAP Committee on Trade, Customs, and Immigration Matters; Committee on Transport, Communication, Energy, Science, and Technology; and Committee on Cooperation, International Relations, and Conflicts Resolution.
