H.E William Ruto jets in South Africa for Pan-African Parliament

President Ruto is the African Union Chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC), being the head of state of Kenya, the first African country to pass Climate Law in 2015.

HE. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, has arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa to take part in the Third Pan-African Parliament Climate Summit. He is expected to deliver a keynote address at the continental parliament tomorrow, Wednesday May 17th. This is the first time the Kenyan president has been in South Africa since his appointment last year.

H.E. Ruto was welcomed upon arrival by the President of the Pan-African Parliament, Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira. Also present at O.R Tambo International Airport were members of the Pan-African Parliament Bureau and Members of the Kenyan delegation to the Continental Parliament, and Kenyan Diplomats in South Africa.
