Kampala to Host WOMEN AND POWER: Leadership in a New World Conference
The Uganda Management Institute is set to host the WOMEN AND POWER: Leadership in a New World conference from September 9-10, 2024 in Kampala. The workshop is facilitated by Ms. Madelein Mkunu, Founder and President of Leading Women of Africa (LWA), will bring together prominent women in leadership from various sectors, including politics, business, and civil society.
he upcoming WOMEN AND POWER: Leadership in a New World conference will offer attendees a comprehensive exploration of critical leadership themes through its structured modules. Module 1, Women in Decision-Making, will provide insights into the vital role of women’s voices in shaping political, economic, and social decisions, equipping participants with the skills to navigate complex environments and make impactful choices. In Module 2, Women and Control of Geopolitics, discussions will focus on understanding the influence of geopolitics on Africa’s development and how women leaders can leverage this knowledge to drive progress at both national and regional levels. Lastly, Module 3, Consolidate and Maintain Women’s Power, will offer strategies for strengthening and sustaining leadership positions, emphasizing the importance of building networks, forming alliances, and leading with integrity and resilience.
