President of Pan African Parliament Arrives in Kigali for Retreat on Reforms and Agenda 2063
Hon. Chief Fortune Z Charumbira, the President of the Pan African Parliament, has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda for the Retreat on the Reforms and the Agenda 2063. The Hon. Senator Chief Fortune Charumbira arrived at 10:30 pm and was received at the airport by the Zimbabwe to Rwanda Ambassador Professor Charity Manyeruke.
The Retreat will be held from June 8th to 11th, 2023, and will focus on the mandates of various African Union bodies, including judicial and quasi-judicial bodies, PAP, AUABC, AUCIL, Permanent Representational Offices, Liaison Offices, and Specialized Technical Agencies. The Retreat will also include presentations on different structures and the implementation plans for Agenda 2063.
President Charumbira’s arrival in Kigali is significant as it demonstrates the commitment of the Pan African Parliament to the African Union’s goal of promoting peace, security, and development on the continent.
