Excited at the opportunity, the African-American entrepreneur and repatriated resident in Ghana, wrote on her social media:

Thank you so much to Guzakuza Africa and The Roddenberry Foundation for the opportunity to join the 7th Cohort of Ignite African Women in Agribusiness Fellowship!! I’m blushing with excitement and totally nerding out on this opportunity! I think sometimes people forget that I’m a millennial so I’m always looking to try new things and learn how to build more capacity for the projects I have in Africa! My love and appreciation for the Agriculture industry and the potential for that in Africa is why I moved 2 years ago this month to Ghana (2yr anniversary post coming)!

In these last 24 months I’ve made great relationships, learned some lessons, burned some bridges (just being honest), and built the foundation for an empire because I’m a descendant of a black woman, an African woman, and that’s what we do.

So I can’t wait to learn from this group of African Women about myself, my people, and my passion, which is Agriculture, so we can develop Africa for Africans by Africans for the next generation!

Ambassador Davisha L. Johnson is the Founder and Director of Partner with Africa Ltd, an international business and consultancy firm.

She is also the Founder of the AIE Project focused on cannabis and hemp and building the industry in Africa from policy to seed to sale, utilising value-addition, women and youth agribusinesses and Hemp as a solution to climate change and regenerative agriculture.
